Adding boating license to the ID card

So Car/Motorcycle Dealerships sell vehicles that require a valid drivers license, Aircraft Dealerships can check if people have a pilot's license and have passed lessons.

But the Boat Dealership has no way of checking and we can't sell someone a boat without legal proof they are legal to sail it.

Currently we have to ask people to take a screenshot of their license on their phone, or we have to record them with bodycam (this ends up taking a lot of space on people's pc's with time) or ask them details on the license to check if they have one, but none will be 100% proof as they can forge it.

So my suggestion is can we add the boating license below the driver's license as shown below.

Major +1 for legality reasons, whether via the licence itself or some other manner of presenting.

We can't see if a person has purchased a pilot license or not; we know if they have passed their lessons as that's something that we control ourselves. Similar to if the Marina wanted to ensure people could operate a boat before selling them, whether they had a license or not.

As you're probably aware when people want to purchase an Aircraft from LS Air a background check is done with the police which is when we can find out if a person has a license to fly.

Actually understand this logic and might take this on-board. Appreciated!

Problem you have is the desire to keep getting more info on there. This was something I made a year ago that had the concept of placing the desired licences all on the image that shows up. It was something quick I made up, however I now dont believe it should look like this. Potentially instead it be an option on the drop down menu to "SHOW LICENCES" and it shows the backside of your licence in the indicated image below.

That looks good! I would add it where you can flip the ID around showing all the licence's!
Would also make it so the Aircraft Dealership no longer has to wait for police to do a background check and would lighten the police workforce instead of adding to it.

As a friend told me as well, ''currently the only way for people to check if you have a commercial license and so on is for police to get all your info. It would be great if it was all on the ID, so you could still use a fake ID''

This would also mean a trucking company can check for commercial license, chaufeuring/taxi company's can check for a taxi license and so on! It would make the hiring RP better!

Where I do love how the aircraft dealership is handling it currently I don't think it would work for the Marina as we sell an average of 20/30 boats per month wich will likely increase with us becoming fully staffed soon! Does the aircraft dealership have around the same amount of sales per month? As we woudn't want to call the police department 6 times in one day and having to catch up with them because people want to buy a boat.

Making people wait for background checks (when i had mine done it took a few days to get a response) makes me wonder if people will not just opt to ''borrowing'' one from a local as there are a fast amount naturally docked around and people move crates into their vehicles quickly after they are done in the water meaning we lose out on sales. Where on one hand water police could then give them a fine but i've only ever seen police on the water twice and i'm here almost a year.

i would do it more in this style, then have it so that lets say if they don't have the licence the logo doesn't appear, and if it is banned then the logo will show red
Omg you artistic genius, love that! also love the additional red icon's to signal if they are banned.
