Active Gun Fight Issues

So This has come to my attention that lately When there's a Gun Fight Going on People Think its okay to just Shoot anyone they see on sight with a fire Arm of any kind From Rebels to Police do this and i think its Awful when you could Spawn in in Kavala with a mk14 on your back un aware of the Situation and be Blasted as soon as you step out your  house just wanted the Coumminy's Opinion on it

Why would you spawn in kavala with a mk14 on your back, its not like you can hide it!

That type of situation sucks for a new spawn, but you cant do anything about it plain and simple.

Your true option is to take cover ASAP, and put ur weapon in ur bag. Good luck

Because we like big things that kill people. Don't you think so? +Getting on Castle or Windmills to snipe drug dealer :)

Yeah True but Its Annoying to see Players do it to other people Rattles me to be honest

If two groups, lets say Police and a large gang are in a firefight in Kavala that's been lasting 10 minutes or so, and you walk through with an MXM on yer back... They have no option other than to treat your hostile - otherwise it could be death for them.

You would have to metagame to hell to realise that a player isn't involved with it, and that would be breaking a rule (dont do that).- hence no option out of it. If you wasn't involved and you die, sit tight, wait for it to all blow over. The police will get medics in and they will help you up (however you will undoubtedly see some hobo run over and pickup your fully attachment'ed gun and run away)

Tbh there's no solution rather then to hide and. try not to get involved in it. And if something happens blast their head off

There is a solution, However it is tedious, Admins should, probably are already, monitoring gunfights around and about in kavala, Besides many people say hide n stuff, Bang on the screen recording software and leg it I say, leg it far from the gunfight and if you happened to be RDMed and downed during it, you have it on recording, My opinion x3, But I'm more than confident admins are sick of like this type of situation throughout kavala daily.

Quite a simple solution to this is to separate spawn points and zones where combat happens frequently. Not sure if this is seen as a big enough issue to make such a thing happen though. This might be a negative about so much combat inside of Kavala, but it also creates a lot of roleplay within Kavala, which is something you wanna keep.

But without metagaming someone's name if he's running around with the gun you have no idea if he's enemy or not. + IRL if there was a gunfight would you even run there? Would you have your gun out if you wouldn't be involved there? If you would I'm more than 100% sure that you'd get popped. Also Running in gunfight and screaming imo it's same as Trolling and totally not valueing your life and when you get killed accidently it's not RDM from my POV it's you not valueing your life.

Well I've always heard that you should only shoot people in a firefight if they are running around with guns and and not if they're holstered.

What I'm about to say is my complete feelings on the current state of the servers like role-play affairs...

Altislife.co.uk doesn't 'feel' like at the level of 'serious' it should be... Yesterday on my Medic we were driving around waiting for calls and we stumbled across some people playing venga boys their mics and just trolling, heck this type of thing happens in kavala everyday, and the names. oh god don't get me started on the names, It'd be nice if everyone has Role-play names as opposed to symbols and numbers. Of course these are just a couple of many many examples. However i feel there's still alot to do, I've not been with the community that long, but first impressions can impact alot. What else, I also feel there should be more stricter RP laws as they seem rather layed back and relaxed at the moment, People shooting in the green zone, police don't care, people acting up and trolling around, Gah! It's just so frustrating to RP with people in kavala when someone comes up to you every two minutes and plays a YouTube video down their mic, Well, that's my opinion and what ever happened to the enforcement of masks in kavala and places, every man and his dog seems to have one and the police don't care. ._. But my thoughts and opinions, take em or leave em i don't care ;o

Shooting in the greenzone is bannabel, as is trolling and playing music down the mic. Record and report if you cannot resolve it. It's the players like that who ruin the server, we are serious here as you can see all the reports and thousands of bans/unban reports the admins receive.

As for the topic, you must be some sort of idiot to run into an active firefight knowing full well you may be killed. Especially if when you do get killed you cry RDM. Would you rather they  metagamed you and broke a server rule in order to avoid killing you? Don't put yourself in that position because it either makes everyone think you play to get people banned by being careless in that sort of situations or it just makes you stupid.

Don't run into an active firefight with an illegal rifle, what do you expect to happen IRL? A hug and a conversation? Or would the cops straight up shoot you because you could be a rebel flanking them?

It's poor roleplay and is embarrassing if you cry about it after. Morale of the story: don't be a dickhead and run into active gunfights anywhere.

(all my opinion, don't mean to anger anyone if I have)

For those GZ and trolling it's not RP it's just rulebreaking and it always will happen because new players come and do it. But on another hand this is topic about gunfights.

To be fair, most gunfights are poorly RPed... the majority of gunfights i've gotten into have been silent... because the player killing me just doesn't say anything. It's one of the reasons i'm not really all that compelled to RP with people who have guns, rather just stay on my medic alot

Not sure if that was a dig at me for that report  but that guy I killed hasn't uploaded the full video where he was q quite obviously involved. That video was almost 2 months ago too.

I agreethough. The other day TI were in a firefight in kavala and i spawned there.  Walked 2 steps with a gun on my back and died

In the just over 11 months I've been lurking in ALUK I have noticed one thing:

THE MAJORITY OF PLAYERS ARE FAR TOO QUICK TO START TAKING SHOTS FOR CRAPPY REASONS.
If you walk into an active gunfight with a weapon out and begin actually waving it around and shout 'HIYAAAA' down direct communication then you're probably going to have an extra hole in your face. Having the weapon holstered might lower that chance of becoming a faulty bowling ball with the extra finger hole but players, whether they're in an active gunfight that has been going on for 10 minutes or even if they're walking around the streets, are way to skittish when it comes to what's happening around them and who is actually in the way. I saw a report the other week claiming that this is 'collateral damage', that may be true but it's still shooting at someone who isn't involved (whether you knew it or not, don't metagame kids!) and shooting at someone who could've been clueless as to what was going on. What if enough people involved in the gunfight had died? What if there were two or three on either side hidden away absolutely shitting it because they were the last alive? There's going to be a decrease in gunfire and others around might think that it's all over and there's no danger. They're still at fault for strolling into the situation with a weapon out or even holstered and without observing from a distance if there's gunfire coming from that direction but shooting him still isn't advised unless they're a direct threat (also still try to issue compliance before you blow them away).
