Right, So while not on duty i have been sitting in with some of the PCSO/CSO ready to do there academy work, iv spoke to them and some of them have waited nearly 4 hours now. Im not complaing as i know your are not robots and your not always free to do tests all the time however i went through what they went through of waiting alot of time..

So i came up with an idea, i dont know if this has been tried/or currently happens but i think i would be a good idea for them to be able to book in times, yes this will proberly come with some "Arguments" however there is ALOT of acadmemy members so this could possible work, yes i understand u may have someone booked in and then when it comes to that time you may be busy, however a little system could come into place such as, we make another forum thread called "Bookings" In which everyone has access to but only academy members are to reply.. so on the thread you can have the option such as,

TeamSpeak Name: (Name)

Test You Wish To Do: (FTC,FTT,PA)

Time You Wish To Book: (GMT)

How Long Are You Online For To DO Your Test: (How Long They Have To Do The Test)

then add some term and cons saying about how the time they have booked may not be getted booked fully or that u will try get them booked as close to there preferd time.

Then an acemdmy members are able to comment on a post and can have there preferd time they want to do someones test.. i.e The Academycomment saying "Booked, Be on TS at (Time) with (Academy Who Book There Appointment Initlals) i.e (Say im an Academy member i would Comment saying "Booked, Be On TS at 4:00pm and put [Billy] in your name")  This is so its eaiser for academy to find the people that booked.. However people dont have to book and can still sit in TS with FTT in there name however if people cann book at least they can come on at that time instead of waiting ages.

 
+1 sounds like it could make things a lot easier for both the applicants and the tester.

 
+1 great idea, would speed up the process for both the recruits and the Acadamy.

 
+1 very nice idea since I waited multiple hrs for all my tests... Well I hope some sort of this idea gets implemented ;)

 
Let me say this as Ex-academy member. There are people who work their asses off and get burn out and leave the cops.So thats something command is not trying to make happen.Thats why there is no real pressure of doing work.However i do think there are some membrs who can crank up their work a bit since my *leaving* i have noticed  1 name comes up alot in the working rooms of academy @Ram. So this idea has good parts in it but isn't the best for trying to solve this issue. The only thing that can fix this is more detication of the  27(correct me if i am wrong) academy members since that list is going to keep growing.

No hate or anything but this is a problem that pops up monthly. 

 
The problem is simple. The academy will always be a hobby and never a job, The academy lads try there hardest to be on and im always allowing them to chill out as they dont get paid for this and its not a job title. Its a game. If someone is waiting 4+ hours in the waiting room i would suggest too take the rest of your free time and jump on the server and learn more than you already have. I like the idea but its never going to be that way.

Hey there Billy, thank you for your suggestion. I can understand where you're coming from, however, you've got to remember that this isn't a job and this is something the Academy Members choose to do in their free-time. If we were to implement this, you would most likely see some appointments being cancelled due to real life or other related stuff popping up for the Academy Members.

We also want to create a line between work & spare time hobby, implementing this would for most people make this look like a job to them.

Another problem would also be the trainees or the academy members cancelling their appointsments due to real life stuff, this would most probably also cause some frustration on both sides when that happens.

If you want to discuss this furthermore, then feel free to come to the Waiting Room and then pop one of the command(INS+) members a message.

Yes that what i stated when i said "Arguments" such as what u have said.. i totally understand where your coming from, however if it gets cancled its not a big deal, they will just have to wait in the room, though i did think adding this idea in as a kinda "Extra" feature such as a fast track, cos without a booking they would still be waiting in the room, however Academy members dont have to reply to there threads, meaning they dont have to book them in if they cant do that time, i understand if the academy books them in a day eailer then the days comes and they cant do the interview, Like i said this would be an extra feature and or we could even do a trial on this feature.

 
+1 i would like to do my PA but i can only play from 5:00 - 7:30, this isnt very long and if people are waiting over 4 hours i have no chance in doing my PA. I spoke to someone the other day and he had waited a good 8 hours to do his PA. I just dont have the time to do it and i dont know what to do can anyone help me?

 
I would love to have this implemented I just don't think it's plausible because, as the academy say, they don't get paid for it so shouldn't really be made to 110% commit their time to it. They do it when and if they have the time to do it.
