I feel the need to ask why so many Offences that honestly are pretty minor result in someones Property being Scrapped?

Are these really such terrible offenses that they require a Fine & the destruction of someones vehicle? Cops in real Life don't Seize your Vehicle when you're stopped without a Valid License,It's impounded you're fined & then you dish out additional cash to retrieve your vehicle & you learned a lesson. I think it's ridicules that there are 3 times as many Scrapable Offenses then impoundable ones, even more so which ones are scrapable & which ones are not.

So this is saying that the Altis Police will be more Lenient on me if I'm Driving Under the Influence Or Driving like a Maniac,or even without the proper paperwork to pay for any damages i may incure while Driving under the influence. Remember Kids If your gonna Drive offroad or in revearse Don't,We would Much prefer it if you Do Drugs & Drive.

I've been trying to make this point for around a Week,Why are the police so Scrap Happy,Their own handbook is claiming Driving under the Influence,Driving recklessly & Not having Insurance to pay for Damages(A Seizeable Offense in the UK) is nowhere near as Bad as Offroading,Hell endanger peoples lives,no problem, you're vehicle will be Ready in the Morning for you to return to the roads,But don't you dare Drive on my grass,I mean Come on guys doesn't this seem a tad overkill.

I'm not looking to start anything, matter of fact the only vehicle i've ever had Scrapped was Full of Drugs & legitly Scrapped,But after the last month of Seeing over 100 vehicles scrapped for simple things that were not even threatening peoples lives I feel like this should really be reviewed a bit.

This one is a bit different as i agree to a extent,Failure to stop is (realistically) a Jailable Offense,But they not only lose all their posesions,But you destroy their property as well,Come on why not give them the option of which one they prefer.

*Edit* If this is outdated I apologize as it was the only one i could find in the PD Forums.

These are simply limitations listed to what amount we can do depending on the situation we are involved in and the Role-play given by the person. Majority of the time If someone is getting there car scrapped its most likely for a good reason [ex.  Hitting someone in a cop chase or pushing others off the road]. These are not mandatory amounts to be given out. Someone can run from me for 7 minutes and i'll still let them go in the end if they give me some damn good roleplay.

I'm glad to hear this actually,Scrapping really should be a last resort.

Yeah as above really. I can't remember the last time I gave a maximum fine / scrap. I only authorise scrapping (or scrapping myself) if it's major - i.e. full of drugs for instance or used in cop killings.

RP quality dictates the actual punishment.

Some things on that list most of cops don't do. Most times we do not crush vehicles for most things on the list.

As said above, these are guidelines. If we feel asthough people have good Rp we can put the price down etc. I think i've only got one vehicle scrapped from the time I have been cop. Same goes with full ticket amounts. Its up to the cop what happens.

Only criticism of this argument from the cops is that many newer cops especially feel like they should be following the book to the letter so I would suggest that academy should make especially clear that these are maximums as I have seen some cops be a little bit scrap happy at times. For example, attempted murder, restrained by police for trying to kill a guy and my hatchback sport gets scrapped. So I didn't just get punished and have weapon seized, but I also lost 100,000 - 200,000 depending on the half price sale.

This is presumably permitted by your rules but seems a little but unneeded, especially when good RP is involved. Obviously you can resolve issues on a person to person basis but it is still something to be aware of.

No one at any point of time should be scrapping your vehicle because you shot someone. That is completely against the guidelines and rules itself, This issue should be addressed with whom ever was the one that did so.

Fair enough... They have left the police since and it was ages ago so whatever.

Thanks

You can only start scrapping when you are SPC i believe, even then you need permission from a higher up. But I haven't been around for a while so you might be seeing different things to what i did :p

Driving dangerously= VDM/attempted = scrap

Elsewhere on roads= destruction of my gorgeous expensive grass = scrap

No license= how did you get the car? obviously illegally and done so by bypassing the DVLA = scrap

No license= how did you get the truck? obviously illegally and done so by bypassing the DVLA = scrap

reversing/wrong lane= you could have been hit by a sportshatchback speeding, it's your fault for being in the wrong lane though = scrap

dangerous driving= you keep ramming into walls and nearly hitting people, on the wrong lane and constantly speeding - dangerous = not road worthy and scrap

Not all officers will scrap. In fact it's very rare. Only if the person has poor reasoning/ a shitty attitude/ blatantly trolling/vdm will an officer scrap. You will see an impound/small ticket is adopted.

Exactly. If you try to shoot/bait then it'll be scrapped or if you try to RP then it probably won't.

People have too much money, that's why I would scrap.

direct

I've been here a year & i have 3 million,im in no way rich lol,But i agree some people do have Shit loads of money.
I have allot of money but that went through hard work... But back to the normal post, It really depends who the officer is and how good you rp it
