4k Gaming?

Quick question for anyone who has an answer
I'm considering upgrading from a 1080p monitor to a 4k monitor. Is it worth it / will I notice a difference in games?
I have a GTX 980ti and I7 4790k, will that be able to run 4k smoothly?

I only want to upgrade to a 4k monitor if it will improve the graphics, no point buying it and having to lower the graphics settings

I was thinking of upgrading too. However, with 2 GTX 970's I don't think it would run very well. Plus, at the price tag, I might rather buy a top of the range 1080 than a budget 4k.

George has hands on experience though, so listen to him instead of me.

I would say go for a 1440p 144hz screen rather than 4k for gaming close up. In games, they will only look as good as their texture packs!

I've the same set up! You'll be fine max settings and yes it makes a big difference  :Cool:
