27 inch 144Hz monitor

Is this worth it? Right now I use a 40 inch 50Hz Samsung TV. I want to change to a proper PC monitor but deciding is not easy.

Budget is around £250
What sort of GPU are you packing? What's more important to you - Resolution and image fidelity, or framerate and smoothness?

If you do any colour-senstive work such as graphic design, image editing, photography or video editing i would advise you do not buy a TN screen as they can appear more "washed out" than their (more expensive ) IPS equivilent.

I have a GTX 970 and a i5 4690k

I just wanted something excellent for gaming and watching shows on. As I am going to put my TV in another room to use as an actual TV now.

I myself use the ASUS VG248QE, its 144hz, 3d and its great imo. But this is a great monitor aswell probably

I can't seem to find anywhere that sells it in a shop around me. I'd rather buy it in person than online :(
Yeah it's always better to see it live and it feels a lot more comfortable to buy it from store than from internet :) Anyways good luck!

Then this is probably a fine monitor for you, the higher refresh rate will make gaming and general viewing smoother, over doubling your potential achievable framerate from 60fps to 144fps (detail level dependent).

Buying a new monitor and then using it gives you a great feeling, more people should really spend more cash on monitors because having more vibrant colors and higher refresh rates is great. I my self spent £500 on my monitor and i'm very happy i did. The monitor you linked is also a TN panel so it will look beautiful, i'd say if you have the money man go ahead and treat yourself you won't regret it. I also got mine online from Amazon with no problems, try not to worry so much everything is returnable.

27" is a big PC screen, currentley have two and im super happy. Unfortunately they are both 60hz, but i dont play much CS:GO so i dont really use it.

- It all comes down to what you are gonna use it for and what you need.
