1070 Question

What do you guys think about the 1070 for 1440p. I'm hoping the 1070 is a 980 ti equivalent. I'm interested in your predictions/expectations so drop a comment ?

I believe the 1070 still matches the Titan Xs performance, so you will easily be able to game 1440p with it, as long as your cpu and ram is up for it ;)

The 1070 is promised to be equivalent or better then the GTX 980TI. With the 8GB of vram it is suitable for 1440P. The following benchmarks is for the 'founders edition'. Read: stock model. Third party GPU's will most likely be faster and will get better performance.

The following benchmarks does not include the 1070, but it will be between the 980TI and 1080. These are average frames per second in games like: "Metro, GTA V, BF4 etc."

I'm hoping that the DX12 support comes along very nicely with the new Apex expansion. That should be the one and only reason you need to buy this generation of cards. Thanks for the opinions btw.

This is what I'm looking forward to this year. Let's hope my patience for the 10 series pays off.

I'm personally more than happy to wait for real world performance, I still remember the 970 debacle.

The 970 was still even though a bit faulty the best value for performance card!

On another note, if I was rich I would wait for the new Titan with the Pascal Architechture just to see how holyballs it will be. the 1070 will no doubt be a good card for the money! however don't expect it to be perfect :D

I'm sure if the 1080 is 10x Better than a Titan X then there is no question about the 1070 ...

Question is tho the 1080 is going to be cheap enough to make it a very affordable suppliment instead of even considering a Titan X

Yes ofcourse! There has been released a UK price for the 1080 which is ~500 GBP half the price of the Titan X!
