when I checked my keychain it was still there, and the guys were offline what i'm saying is that i clicked the "drop key" button, does that mean it's lost?

I accidently hit the drop key button while viewing a vehicle in my keychain? Can someone explain to me how this works? will I never be able to lock/unlock again? Will it respawn in my garage later on (someone robbed me of it earlier)
