The NLR timer kicks in after you respawn regardless if you get mery killed or wait 3 mins.  Also the mery killing happens usually when there is no NHS on and we are downed all the way in our lands with no hospital close in time. @Fanto Rangen

Keep in mind "Land or get shot down" without specifying what chopper and more details doesn't work at all. The pilot of the heli you are trying to get away/land might read the messge and think its not me and report the person who shot him down for RDM. So far i have no knowledge of cases like...
