In the arma 3 launcher, untick the options under Parameters -> Advanced -> Advanced. E.g untick CPU Count and ExThreads

Have you tried remove all graphical related launch options? That apparently fixed it for other people. 

The thread isn't all about keeping first person on the main server, but perhaps having server 2 or 3 as 1st person only, to see how it fairs. 

I don't think you really understand the problem. Yes I can and do use 3rd person for combat, because otherwise I would be putting myself at a huge dis-advantage. The enemy can always see me before I can see them/

But using first puts you at a huge disadvantage in combat if they enemy is using 3rd person.

To anyone who enjoys using 1st person, having 3rd person is a forced thing. Can we not just test it on server 2 or something?

It would be amazing to have server 2 be set as 1st person only for a week, so we can compare who prefers what. It creates a fairer game where things like gunfights aren't all about who knows how to abuse 3rd person the most (cos it happens a lot)
