    There is no special time you need to wait until you can apply but I would recommend you get some time as a civ so you understand how it all works and get the rules going so you fully understand what to do and what not to do. If you see a SGT+ at pd maybe ask if you can come on a ridealong since you want to try things out and so on. But you can apply whenever

    Like Hoax said, I recommend playing as civ / rebel first just so you can familiarize yourself with different things, also you really should do a few ride-alongs first. That way you can see for yourself if being in the police is something for you or not
