    Simen is actually the Scandinavian form of Simon. Which makes sense because Simen is in fact from Norway. 

    Oh by the way if you're trying to get unbanned, just a friendly reminder that 

    (12.5) Using status updates to talk about or discuss bans will first lead to a warning point then if that continues a second warning point with a 7 day posting restriction.

    All it's going to do is delay a staff member looking at your unban request, just saying.

    In fact all names have some form of ethnic origin. Most common English names are a mix of Germanic and Norman (French), however you also have some germanic/nordic names (Scandinavians in English prior to Anglo-Saxon/Norman rule). Names can be spelled differently in different languages.
