Nerf blackhawk with sniper

It makes rp with the police both unbalanced and ruins the fun of tactical fights, it is brought out nearly every night for most of an evening, sometimes also when no threatening activity has occurred, maybe police having a scaling system might be an option as well instead of having full force from the beginning.

+1. Had an interaction with police earlier which involved one officer being held up at gunpoint. Armed police arrived which is fair enough and resulted in our group dispersing, and only a few minutes later Blackhawk was at our turf on the hunt for us accompanying the convoy.

Ultimately, I think Blackhawk is a good addition to the server but there should be a valid reason or escalation for its use.

Criminals should be on the backfoot against police in my opinion but Blackhawk shouldn't be the first resort.

I'm gonna put a police perspective in here. As a Blackhawk pilot myself, we can self auth the heli, and CTSFO have a route for the sniper auth. So not all Blackhawk deployments have an accompanying sniper. Now regarding you saying there is nothing you can do about it, that is very much wrong. The officers on the side can be shot out with a rev easy if you get below it, and obviously you can just shoot the heli. The Blackhawk can definitely be damaged enough to force the pilot to wave off.

I think something to remember, regarding the wanted level rule, the more severe crimes you do, you become a larger target on the radar and thus will be challenged by a bigger force. We do have reasons to bring it out, and its not all willy nilly.

guys let's put it into a perspective of why we have it so easily deployed right now in terms that closer to what your life would be with another gang causing issues.

So you're boys are about doing their mining. Another gang you've been back and forward with all week pops up and is around that mining group. they are known to rob miners. Would you not use your tools to protect them. Many people in server would love to stop using it as much. Same as a fair few officers with we went back to 2020 police with not all police armed. but with gun supply in city. it's not a option. We are always on critical threat level because every night we end up with a fight with 1 or 2 gangs. Or all morning when. no officers about the gangs have been piping up and robbing or killing officers. so when there's more officers about we have to show force. to show that actions during the day will come back and bite.

It'll never be a perfect balance. but the blackhawk can deffo be shot down and even stolen. Just ask the Lost MC and aztecas


All this is from someone who doesn't actively fly the blackhawk much as usually on the ground but I was part of npas command when it was first added and we had strict rules on it but had to loosen them to follow server meta

Blackhawk is never a first resort, nor is it authorised or utilised in every single shootout or approach to a gang.
Pretty much all reasons stated are already listed, but gangs that consistently commit highly violent crimes (Like recently for the past week or two, Ballas were kidnapping officers, stealing their rifles, killing officers etc) result in a highly aggressive consequence to counter it, a Blackhawk being included in that response (Not always with a sniper). But if another gang had a one off incident and shoot out with police it most likely wouldn't be authed unless it was on a grave scale.
It's also pretty easy to counter, just one of those "skill issue" things, just requires really good aim, in like 1/4 of deployments of the sniper where there is actually action taken, the sniper or helicopter takes significant damage or is incapaciated and in majority of the actual times Blackhawk is taken out, it isnt actively engaging or shooting, just a big deterrent.

I do understand from a crims perspective that it just seems like a "crutch" tool for police to use when they are losing or something to secure a win, but theres already strict perameters in order to actually deploy and use it, and the bigger the threat a gang poses and is, the bigger of an aggressive and direct response you'll get.

the black hawk seems to come out when police feel like there in a potential loss situation, always seeing it in silly situations where there is no need for a black hawk.
I feel like it should only be brought out in situation that properly need it, or simply nerf the heli from being as strong as it is. I barley see a normal police heli now days apart from like a police chase, anything else it is always the blackhawk. Can't go a day in the server without seeing it in the sky. +1

People assume there is always an Ops rifle on board which is simply not the case. 99 can be deployed by people from any police unit not just firearms for a few different reasons and is often used as a deterrent, not too dissimilar to how gangs drug deal in large numbers to avoid action by the police. There is like >10 people in the police who can deploy an Ops rifle.

Its usage is also logged and monitored by Polcom and NPAS Command.

It’s also quite easily countered with clever tactics from crims. Ballas actually did a good job of this the other night by playing smart, using cover and concealment to their advantage leaving Price and I unable to be effective whilst up in the Blackhawk.

It can be stolen when it lands, but even then it’s very very difficult and with it only refilling at Zancudo now that’s not possible either. Shot down, I don’t think it can tbh - I’ve got a clip of 10+ people with ARs shooting at it as it’s taking off (fairly close range) and it just flys off unscathed. The only way to take the helicopter down is to hit the pilot which without your own sniper isn’t really a reasonable thing to expect people to do as a counter.

It is a very powerful tool, I don’t think it should be changed though, I think the restrictions around it could just be changed. The easiest way to do this imo is a Police restriction on how many bullets someone can take. So if the sniper is taken out, person can take 20 bullets max, once those bullets are done it gets put away whether the situation is over or not.

I don’t really have a strong opinion either way, but if you wanted to balance it I think that’d be the best way.

Black hawk is 1 sided fun for the police and roleplay should be enjoyable for both sides. Seems like for the past couple of weeks with ballas that the black hawk is needed for every situation even if we are out numbered on foot with 15 police with head armer vs 10 ballas for some reason the black hawk is needed?

I feel like its over powerd and should be used on rare occasions you even see it get used on prison transports and them transports are hard enough to hit without the black hawk flying above it. We even hit the money trasport the other week and had a black hawk shooting at us after we hit it and there was no police about the violence over. We was moving the money out the truck into cars at a hidden location and the black hawk found us and just started shooting when the shooting was over for about 5-10 min
