Good afternoon all,
Thank you for taking the time to make this report
@Baldy (Derek)
After reviewing the evidence and discourse on the report, I'm inclined to agree with the allegations of poor roleplay. Let me explain my thoughts;
The two individuals robbing are members of a whitelisted group, so right out of the gate, there should be a higher standard of roleplay in your interactions. In this situation, the robbery lasted about a minute, with very little exchanged or interaction provided.
This situation is seemingly a 'random robbery', but as stated above, the robbing party were only searching for guns, this suggests to me they are in fact targeting persons and locations where people are likely to carry guns, and that it would be an easy, or simple, robbery, increasing the likelihood of success and minimise risk upon the robbers. So not in essence, random, but seemingly random to your would-be victims. This is the first red flag; by all means, rob people, that's fine, but going out specifically targeting firearms, as opposed to valuable items or possessions, like a legitimate robber would do, is concerning, and is also akin to a 'vending machine' style robbery. Although this is only one instance, I'll give the benefit of the doubt here, but only once.
Looping back to the interaction itself, there was very little exchanged or interaction outside of a bare minimum 'hands up' and 'drop x, don't try anything stupid'. Both robbers aren't new players. You should at least attempt to make a scenario engaging or enjoyable for all parties, not just focusing on your desires. This is where I take the second, and more primary concern, you could at the very least
try to make it more engaging, ask them some questions, tell them a story, make some small talk if you can't think of anything, just anything other than 'hands up', followed by 'drop your shit' and 'lets bounce'. I'm sure you can come up with something, right?
There is another concern,
@josh96, you just came off a G2.9 ban, which resulted in your characters being wiped and deleted. This casts some suspicion on your motivation for the robbery, and if your motivation is restocking your armoury, or replenishing lost goods, due to your wipe, and this is the level of roleplay you're providing, I am highly worried that we shouldn't have allowed you back in the first place. Remember, one ban, you end up right back where you started. Keep this in mind, and use it as motivation to improve. If the suspicions are correct, I'd advise you to change your mentality and desires; otherwise, you are likely to end up banned again, and neither of us wants that.
The above is only one reported instance, so although I expect better, this could be a one-off. The main issue lies in whether the reported party performed a similar style of robbery on multiple differing groups and individuals, where unfortunately, there is no evidence to verify a pattern of poor behaviour. Given that there is only one instance, a warning will suffice, and we will be keeping an eye on both of you. If we see more similar or exact same style robberies, you will be banned in line with FBS - this is your opportunity to learn, please take it.
Although I really shouldn't have to, I will praise not pocket wiping and being kind enough to release one of them from zip-ties. These two actions did help your case, so although you made some mistakes, it wasn't wholly poor.
