Why should we unban you: Hello, firstly I appreciate you reviewing my unban appeal for a second time as I appreciate you are a volunteer, this time with more effort put in, in order to show how much I would like to return to the server and engage in great RP. Having tested a number of the other servers recently, they don’t have the level of RP that I enjoy and in addition, due to this being a UK server, it’s great and I’ve had some of the best RP moments on this server. I would like to appeal my ban from the server and I would appreciate the opportunity to clarify and make amends.

I’m looking to get back into GTA RP in prep for the new GTA being released and as this was over 4 years ago, I am hoping that the ban appeal will be overturned on the basis that if any other rules are broken then I will be banned, I’m confident in my RP to not have this happen. Having spent over 12 months as a member of the police department on PC Trevor Tonk, I’m hoping to have the opportunity to be able to become a police officer again so I can practice my RP for the new GTA.

Lots has changed since 2021, which was a very strange time for everyone in the world, I’ve moved out, I live with my girlfriend now and no one else has access to my account. From my side, I fully understand that engaging in proper roleplay is crucial for maintaining an immersive and enjoyable experience for everyone on the server.

In addition to that, a lot of my friends have returned to the server, some are police officers, some are civilians however they’ve all been really positive about the level of RP going on across the server at present hence my desire to return.

This isn’t related however I’m sure as fellow gamers, we can all appreciate the state of gaming right there especially when it comes to RP, there’s really not a number of good RP games out there other than GTA RP hence why I would like to return.

To summarise, I’d appreciate it if you could consider my appeal and from my end I promise to have a positive impact on the server.

Twice we've seen rather poor effort appeals. Back in 21 and earlier this month. So appreciate the actually trying now.

Rules then and now are still rules. Do you remember anything about the situation?

Hi Stavik, appreciate the comment. Enjoyed writing a more detailed response in all honesty!

I've recently had a full read of the rules twice just to familiarise myself with them again. The rules are in place to enhance the experience of all players and having been on the opposite end of combat logging or poor RP as a police officer, I'm well aware how it ruins the experience.

The situation was that a family member had access to my PC and account as we lived together. I've spoken to him recently and all he could recollect was that he shot someone then alt f4'd which is obviously a serious neglect of the RP rules. What I can confirm now is that only myself has access to my PC and account.

As I said above, I spent a good 12 months performing RP to a good level within the police department which is an aspect I really enjoyed hence the desire to return. If the PD is full, which I'm sure it might be, I've been looking at perhaps the NHS, Gruppe 6 or exploring what else the city has to offer. I think in the first instance, it's best to familiarise myself with the city again before anything else!

Hello Jessie, thanks for responding.

As mentioned above, I’ve moved out and only live with my girlfriend who doesn’t play games therefore no one else has access to my PC or account. I’ve got a password on my PC, seems basic however I didn’t have this before. I’ve also reset my steam, fivem and discord passwords to avoid anything happening like this moving forward.

I've also made sure to brush up on the rules as I believe there's been a number of rule changes over the last 4 years hence need to make sure I'm well versed with them.

Hopefully I've understood the second question in terms of context. I’m confident that something like this wouldn’t happen again based on the steps taken above. If this did happen again, I would report it to admins immediately and reset all the above passwords.

Can you please quote the rule that was broken and explain in your own words why you believe it is in place?

Hello, thanks for the swift responses today.

The rule that was broken was C2.3 which is Combat Logging, this means logging out of the game at any point during roleplay as it’s classed as exploiting.

A lot of players do this on purpose for a number of reasons, this can range from them being selfish wanting to save loot to not wanting to continue in an RP situation all the way to rage quitting the game if they have been shot in a firefight for example. A small caveat to that is in the unlikely event that you disconnect, you make sure to attempt a reconnect and communicate clearly in discord that you are attempting to return. That aspect is rare however with any game, from time to time will occur. Thats why you make sure to communicate and reconnect ASAP if you are in the middle of an RP situation.

I believe this rule is clear and in place in order to avoid other players experiencing poor roleplay. It’s also in place because one of the main positives about an RP server is that your actions have consequences and if people do the above then it circumvents the consequences of their actions. Having been on the receiving end of this sort of behaviour during my time in the police department, I fully appreciate why it is in place. It kills the whole RP experience of that small story you are involved in.

So why did you never reach back out to the member of staff dealing with your appeal in 2021?

Hi Stavik, this was purely due to work commitments at the time. A combination of not enough time to play whilst at home as well as a lot of time away from home. Once that subsided and I had time to play, a number of friends stopped playing hence there was no desire to open it back up.

Alright, it's been a while and its going to be the only time i will buy the " someone else did it".
That won't happen again, especially for you.

If you want to be unbanned you need to agree to have your characters loadouts and inventories wiped?

I agree to all characters inventories and loadouts being wiped. Just a question regardless of you doing it, does that include cars? Not that i have any expensive ones.
