Server: GTA RP
Character Name: Chirs Jones
Steam ID: 76561198363744046
Ban ID (just the numbers): 19321
Ban Reason: G4.5
Why do you think you were banned: Breaking Rule G.45 (G4.5), which states that players should not re-enter a combat situation after being revived. I was one of the individuals involved in the ZK report who returned to the scene after being downed. I want to take full responsibility for my actions and provide some context to explain the situation, as well as express my regret for the mistake.

During the incident, my gang and I were pushing TFA's auto shop as part of an ongoing war with them. Most of my gang was in cars, while I and two others were in a helicopter. As we descended to land on the roof of the auto shop, I believed the helicopter had successfully landed on my screen. However, just as I attempted to jump out, I was killed by the helicopter rotors. I was then revived at pillbox and, unfortunately, made the decision to return to the scene.
Why should we unban you: First addressing my last appeal you’re right I’ve been in the city for a while, and I’ve made mistakes in the past, including some serious rule breaks that led to previous bans. I’m not proud of that, and I know it’s my responsibility to know the rules. This time I wasn't aware that G4.5 applied to any kind of death I thought because I died from a bug that it should of been fine but now I understand that G4.5 applies to all types of death.

When it comes to this specific situation, I can only say that I made a poor judgment call in the heat of the moment. I didn’t die in a direct gunfight with another player it was more like a bug when I was killed by the helicopter rotors and I mistakenly thought that because it wasn’t a normal death, it might be okay to return after being revived. I was wrong, and I fully accept that. I also understand why my past actions make it hard to believe that I didn’t know this rule. The truth is, I should have known better. I’ve been around long enough to understand how serious the rules are, and I take full responsibility for not applying them correctly in this situation. Since my ban, I’ve taken the time to thoroughly review the rules again, especially Rule G.45, to ensure I fully understand them. I would like to begin by expressing my sincere apologies for breaking the rules.

At the time, I didn’t think I was breaking any rules because I didn’t die in a gunfight with another player it felt more like a bug when I got hit by the helicopter rotors, since it had been over 15 minutes since I was revived at Pillbox, I thought it’d be okay to go back but now I totally get it the rules are clear that no matter how you die (whether it’s to a player, natural causes, or even a bug), you can’t return to the scene unless an aggressor pulls you back into it. Looking back, I realize how my actions could’ve messed with the RP.

Returning to the scene after being revived could’ve disrupted the flow of the situation and made it unfair for the other side. Instead of going back, I should’ve just accepted the death, stayed out of the situation, and let things play out naturally. That way, everyone could’ve enjoyed a fair and immersive RP experience. I really, truly didn’t mean to break the rules or cause any problems, and I feel awful about what happened. Looking back, I regret my actions so much it was a dumb mistake, and I should’ve known better. While I’ve been away I’ve spent a lot of time going over the rules again to make sure I fully understand them. I see now why what I did was wrong, and I’ve learned a lot from this experience.

I promise I’ll do better moving forward and make sure nothing like this happens again. I truly enjoy being part of this server and value the roleplay experiences it provides. Having fun with other players and contributing to good RP is something I deeply care about, and I would love the opportunity to return and continue being a positive and rule-abiding member of the community.

Thank you for taking the time to read my appeal. I appreciate your understanding and consideration, and I hope to have the chance to prove myself again.
Please confirm that you have read the unban appeal process and rules: Yes

Sorry, but you have to take some responsibility for the clear fragging mentality of the entire gang. I am not going to believe that you were the only person with an excuse out of all members involved that day. Frankly, the case is that you all decided to break NLR to return and keep gunfighting. To do that, we'd have to ignore why you were killed that way in the first place, due to this fight.

I don't know what to make of this appeal, as there seems to be a disconnect between the actions of your gang and you, and you seem not to be taking the responsibility for being part of a mass NLR breach. Your action wasn't an isolated incident as this appeal is making it out to be, it was (of the the most eggregious breaches) of a large collective of people, just to come back and keep fragging.

I want to express my genuine apologies for what I did and the part I played in this situation. You're entirely correct. I should have accepted more accountability for my role in the group's breach decision. I now see that my actions weren't singular and that I was a part of a larger issue that might have impacted the game and everyone's experience.

I made a bad decision by following the gang without thinking about the consequences of our actions or the rules that applied. I sincerely apologise for not being more aware of the situations, and I accept full responsibility for involvement in this.

I should also acknowledge that I didn't intend for my appeal to appear as a way to sidestep my involvement. I now realise that I have to take accountability for the group's actions and not try to put the incident behind me. I truly apologise for the disruption and discomfort this may have caused, it wasn't my intentions and I'm looking to learn from this experience and ensure this doesn't happened again.

Thank you for taking the time to address this, I hope to make amends and demonstrate better judgment moving forward.

Why do you think we have a rule like this?

Why do you think we have a rule like this?
NLR rule ensures that players stay engaged in the RP by preventing unrealistic scenarios such as someone returning to the exact same situation or conflict immediately after being killed or removed also the rule reinforces the idea that actions have consequences if players could simply return to the same situation without any repercussions it would diminish the stakes and make decisions feel less meaningful NLR ensures that players think carefully about their choices if NLR wasn't a thing players could abuse the system by repeatedly returning to a fight or conflict creating an unfair advantage or disrupting the RP this rule prevents this kind of exploitative behaviour and ensures a level playing field for everyone.

What would you say RP is to you?

What would you say RP is to you?
To me RP enables me and others to create something genuinely unique within RP I can express myself there make connections with people and discover countless opportunities and have fun with everyone. Also It's an opportunity to develop and take part in dynamic stories that are influenced by everyone's decisions and actions RP gives me the opportunity to develop a character over time, exploring their personality, backstory, and growth. My character's choices affect the story and the setting, which gives the experience greater depth and excitement. This gives the story a sense of life and impact. RP is not just about my character or my story it’s about working with others to create something bigger than any one person could do alone.

So overall RP in my eyes is a collaborative and creative experience where individuals step into the shoes of their characters to tell stories, build worlds, and immerse themselves in shared stories.

This is in total your 6th ban.
When does it end?

I understand that this is my 6th ban, and I genuinely regret what I did and I accept full responsibility for my mistakes and breaking the rules was never my aim I have learnt a lot from this experience and have given considerable amount of thought to what I did wrong and I will not be breaking NLR or any more rules moving forward I'm committed to ensure that this doesn't happen again and to pay more attention to the rules and the way my actions may affect the community.

With that amount of bans over your time, plus some warnings here - i don't really think we can really benefit from having you around just yet.
Who knows, maybe in the future. But not now.

Denied.
