Drugs 2025 Q & A

After quite the heavy 3 months of very active development into the drug scene of Los Santos and RPUK - It's time to get asked some questions and provide you with some answers.
This thread will be used to gather opinions around the questions asked and this could help us make better decisions in future drug updates.
But please, do not make a 2000 character long essay as to what you want. That's for the suggestions page.

Ask away, we'll try and answer everything and everyone but do please respect that we will keep secrets hidden if we feel like it. There are many new things that needs rediscovering.

- If there are meta information that we feel secret enough we will redact it from your post!
- There will be no spoilers unless already a known
- Normal forum rules apply.
- Suggestions SHOULD and MUST be opened HERE!

Big thanks to @Bobinz , @Kyle Kamara and all the other developers for the work into this. ❤️

Not a drug thing however related to drugs due to "Street cred". Over the last storms there has been a heavy increase in store robberies due to street cred however they are not even robberies just smack the till and move onto the next one. Maybe if the Street cred was gained after "looting" the till or split inbetween the robbing itself i.e while robbing when you get a wad you get a bit of cred. As now its just a goose chase and a load of unusable shops with the way its working.

Yh I agree with your point to an extent but from a crim perspective who is grinding this as their primary source of income it is extremely long to do. I personally have been grinding this since street cred dropped and I’m only one level one so it’s understandable for crims to rush to do this. I know this is shit and I agree with some of your solutions but and alternative may be to increase street cred from selling drugs.

TLDR- street cred to slow imo :)

what is this street cred ive heard about it on my crim but i dont actually understand what it is or how it works

It’s basically crim skill the higher you are the more money you get for crime and the more you efficient you become. As far as I’m aware

so im guessing that stacks on the the selling price of drugs then?

Robbing tills is abit weird tho, I had someone come in rob the till run out and when I called them out for it they gave me back 6k and said sorry I'm just getting my street cred up 🤔 seemed abit more like no RP mind max and it messes with the shop either I have to loose money from the repair or the whole session if the till don't get fixed

How much trouble can you get in for growing 20,000 sativa?

i'd assume so but like I said it's been too slow to see change as crims have bearly been able to climb up the skill. PS it's not just money you get there are other benefits e.g increased chance of selling as i've been informed.

So far everything seems to be working fine just little adjustments here and there that only time will tell but as an instant opinion on it i would probably say that gus is still very "not worth it" even with the current update that happened today, after working out some prices etc.. considering all the variables as manhfacturing price i would charge people, time crafting and the items provided by gus for the price gus asks its not worth currently but again the issue is everyone is at baldy level street cred so i dont know if that will change in the future so the manufacturers can put the prices up, but as for the way its manufactured from what i experienced that is absolutly fine the way it is, the only issue i currently have is crafting time but again i am only lvl 7 out of 10 so dont know if that will change up the ladder

but i do think be only able to make money from drug hotzones its kinda lame, even when ur not part of a whitelisted gang so anywhere u get a pittance of what u usually would get

the more level the more money you get from what i hear but again its to early to know since most people street cred grinding are most likely lvl 5 max out of 100 (being generous)

It’s been like what, less than a week? I assume the objective here is long term RP not just a quick grind. I’d imagine there’s probably more ways to level skill that haven’t been discovered yet. Icl there’s far too much reliance on changelogs and meta info these days.

There wasn't they just added them today

Feedback is taken on that and we are making some adjustments :)
Thank you!

We figured out that Streetcred will have much more use to it when and if we had more stuff to the server we can tie it into. So stay tuned.
But we hope that this cred will be character defining and build value to him/her.

Very important what you say here. Most of your experiences atm are the low level ones. Build it up, then you will start seeing some more.

Hotzone are not how you think. ;)

As is being ecoed through the server these are some really good changes which will and already have led to increased RP borth in quality and quantity really looking forward to the future of crim life with new tweaks. However I did want to say having abt the same three things that give street cred will get repetative and lead to issues such us currently with constant shop hits so there is a slight need for either more new activites giving street cred (in the bracket of: chopshop or house robbing) or current crimes giveing street cred (i.e lockpicking ect)

We are looking into what we can tie it into and we'll make sure that i the future when we add new new stuff we evaluate if it needs to be added.

I'm actually a big fan of the street cred system along with the drug manufacturing. The fact that a thing like this actually takes a significant amount of time and grinding to get up is a nice difference to the usual (my previous posts might have been saying the opposite, but i stand corrected).

Still extremely, extremely confused about the hot-zones and it feels like the amount of effort it takes has demotivated a lot of groups from actually getting over the hurdle of figuring it out when doing bins is a thing. For a lot of people they will ditch drugs and go back to bins now. Only people who are really interested in it and are trying to create RP paths for it will actually put the time and money into talking to Gus for hotzone spots, testing out different drugs at the hotzones, etc. etc.

Couldn't agree more. Long term progression has been something I've been after for a while. I feel we are too used to being handed everything straight and not really having to work to become good at everything. The fact street cred and chemistry takes a long time to get anywhere gives people a reason to grind it out and continuously work towards getting better rather than 2 hours work to get max skill, be like every other guy and never worry about it again. I haven't tried out hot zones yet as Cypress doesn't have a Gus but I like that it isn't a simple as sell X drug at Y location for more money.

Big props to all any and all devs that have worked on the recent changes
