Don't know why cars got invented so many people run people over with them. (just because something being changed could have negative affects if someone uses it badly dont focus solely on the negatives especially on a rule that can be broke has easily as this)I don't see how this makes it easier to break rules. If someone breaks a rule then quickly switches character, staff will obviously have logs of that.
Obviously it’s something staff can monitor however just another thing piled on the staff to check.Moral of the story: i dont see how this makes it easier to break rules its the same as doing F8 quit ? In a perfect world we would have a dayz timer where you sit in the ground for 60 seconds waiting to log out
I doubt it would be hard for staff to view when a player has switched characters.Obviously it’s something staff can monitor however just another thing piled on the staff to check.
Another issue being it would not change the users Session ID therefore making it harder for players to report other players and they would believe there is no issue just something they missed in RP.
However 60 timer to logout would prevent a lot of issues however idk if it is possible with the F8 menu.
No this part would be incredibly easy to keep a log of.I doubt it would be hard for staff to view when a player has switched characters.
As far as I am aware this is already a thing for staff/devs and is something purposely blocked for us already. For imagine some issue raised and issues not yet mentioned. As someone has already mentioned, I am sure there are dev reasons as to why you can't just switch characters on the fly which I imagine is why it's not already a thing
If it was ever added it'd be an option when interacting with a bed in a house to "go to sleep" or something similar, we wouldn't have the option to do it anywhere as that'd be misusedAdd a command or button on F1 menu to change which character you want to play with rather than have to fully disconnect and reconnect
The reason it's restricted to devs/staff is since originally it had large issues of spawning in dead (which was fixed) and since then there has been other issues like spawning in at the location where the previous character was, helmet armour persisting across characters etcI am sure there are dev reasons as to why you can't just switch characters on the fly which I imagine is why it's not already a thing, nor really needs to be as disconnecting and connecting takes a matter of minutes.
