Could there be a collect all button upon leaving hospital takes an age to get your items back maybe it could all be given back in a bag?
 
You can just shift click each item then sort it afterwards if you want to?
 
This would be a massive if added. Yes shift clicking is alright but when you have a full inventory it still takes awhile.
 
NGL, what bugs me the most. Is that the hospital collection is a perfect copy of your inventory when it was taken and shift-clicking mucks up the order

I'd personally stand there for a moment while a progress bar ran if it meant having my inventory kept in the correct order
 
Even with a full inventory, it still only takes around 30 seconds to drag it all back into order. Not the end of the world 😅
 
I've fixed it for a future update so it puts the items back into the original inventory slots when ctrl/shift clicking (only for hospital & prison collections ofc)
 
Suggestion Accepted, Just not in the way you intended.
