A good friend of mine on the mainland, John Doe - which is really his name - texted me earlier today with the awesome news he landed on Altis International Airport!
What an epic news that is, thrilled to see him again since I left for Altis, so after my afternoon medic duty I decided to pick him up and give him a grand tour of Kavala.
After getting him some more suiting hobo clothing and nightvision to compensate for our terrible streetlighting outside Kavala, we climb in my truck and head north via the airport.
It's there we see two cars in the middle of the road, a guy asks us to stop and an awful robbery takes place, leaving us with no more money in our pockets. The guy before us is off even worse as they stripped him from all his clothes even. We're allowed to move through... gahh, where is police when you need them? Scared, happy to be alive, we continue our tour. But not for John, he gets bad ideas while I'm unaware of those dark thoughts breeding in his head...
Sadly, my friend John's criminal tendencies are escalating rapidly throughout the tour and before I even know it, while I'm refueling our truck, he's trying to steal the cash register from the owner of the petrol station at the airport! You have to be sh*tting me.
As I'm confused about the uncalled bad behavior of my good friend he throws me a gun and says "Go stand on the lookout, mate." I look at him with eyes wide open and manage to say "I... I... you... you know I don't do that John!" but he waves his typical hand motion with the binoculars before he grabs his gun again and tries to jam the backdoor of the fuel station. I am flabbergasted. High. Pumped. Upset. Scared. Almost to burst out in laughter.
No time to decide on what I was feeling most as in the far distance, about a kilometer away, sirens started to sound stronger, but then they suddenly stopped...
The cops, my 'colleagues' during my medical patrols, the safe guardians of the last piece of hope we have not to have Altis turn into pure anarchy. Those I was wishing for earlier, usually our saviors, in this particular situation, we're so absolutely royally fucked from behind and orally at the same time, all because I seemed to have failed explaining my friend John how exactly things go around here on our island.
Two police cars drift to a standstill and officers jump out. Instantly I drop the gun and look shocked at the policemen. They ignore me and rush in the petrol station, arresting John.
A police officer came to me and I started "Sir... sir, did you see that? Wow, what a terrible thing to happen, just as I was pumping gas here." We talked some more before he left, taking my friend John to prison.
Tomorrow I'll pick up John from prison and continue the tour. I'm so excited.
