    Ah the joys of being a student. They'll expect you to get a job that somehow fits around the 40 hours a week of uni and hundreds of hours of study  a week you also have to do. It sucks man.

    I took a year off uni and they recalled my loan+grant so I had no money, tried for  while to get a job but couldnt, tried to get job seekers allowance and they said I was technically still a student and didn't qualify. It's a shit system all round.

    Its pathetic, so because someones family earns a few hundred more than another there not entitled to full grant and loans? its ridiculous, broken and unfair.

    friend of mine's parents owned a farm, loads of land etc, definitely not hard up for cash. Their business accountant worked the books so that on paper they had very little money-wise. He got more of a loan and grant than I did, my home only had single-parent, single-earner in the civil service, so hardly big bucks.

    I always hated that.
